Hi families. Today is the older Sea Stars last day at Coastal and I want to say that you will ALL BE MISSED!!!! I am so happy that I was able to be a part of their journey here at Coastal. I know they are all ready to move on and experience all that kindergarten has to offer. It is going to be fun, exciting, new, emotional, and challenging. For both parents and children! haha. But if there is ever anything that any of you need that I can help with please don't hesitate to contact me. I love you all and will be thinking of you everyday!
This week has been fun! Free spirits all around. Today was pajama day and at circle time...they all stood up and shared what pj's they had on. At group time we made colored sand at the crescent table with chalk and sand. After making their colors they sprinkled it over glue to make a fun design. At table one they did lacing pictures. And at table two they did open painting. That's always a messy fun project. On the carpet they made their own stories with felt board materials. The Sea Stars really can get into that! It's fun.
Outside Donovan, Joseph, Christopher, and Sydni played soccer with each other and with Miss Krystal for a little while. Joseph has a big kick...watch out future soccer teams. Christian and Eli watered more kidney beans to see if they will grow like the others sprouting on the yard. hahaha. It's fun to see science in your own yard. All in all today was busy...fun...and not over yet. I am gone for the day but, I will see you all on Tuesday! I hope you all have a fun, fun, fun long weekend.
I hope you have a fantastic rest of your day and I will see you later. Take care!

Friday Waterslide Play!
WOW! The Coastal Kids had a BALL on Friday with the water slide bounce house. I bet they slept well Friday night!! I want to thank each of the parents (and children) who left donations for the fun, and special thanks to Holly Nordby for donating the pizzas...YUM. Also, a very special thanks to Abby Mishler, who brought in her baggie full of coins to donate to the waterslide fund! THANKS ABBY! Way to get into the spirit! The kids bounced and slid and jumped in puddles 'till nap, then recharged their batteries for some more fun. They topped off the afternoon with some Popsicles, some of the boys were helmet crazy, all were playing, and almost every child protested when it was time to go home! The giggles went on and on. I put together a 5 minute quick time video -- it's a little too big though so I'm having trouble posting it -- I'll have to fix that and get back to you all!! For the mean time, here's a quick slide show of the kids from Friday! THANKS AGAIN! Kristin Bryson

Circus week!
Hello All! First I would like to welcome a new friend and her name is Kaylin. Today was her first day at Coastal and I think she did such a great job at being brave and getting involved in activities she felt comfortable with. I look forward to having her back on Thursday so we can all get to know her a little bit more.
So far this week we have made some super fun art. Yesterday we made clown faces with circles, triangles, glue, and colored pencils. Each friend made their own mouth depending on their mood. haha. Today we made Elephant Ears with paper plates, a strip of paper for the head band, glitter, and paint. They painted the plate grey and then added silver, blue or red glitter to fancy it up and did the same with the strip of paper. After it's all dry...we will cut the plate in half and add the strip to it and vwalllla...Elephant Ears. At table one we did clown painting. I gave them 8 different pictures to look at of things you find at the circus and they painted their own picture. At table two was book reading. They had 10 different Disney books to look through and read. And lastly on the carpet, race cars. This very quickly went from vrooom vroooom to VRRRROOOOOOM VRRRROOOOOOOM! hahahaha.
Outside they did their usual dump truck show! Big jumps and Lot's of air. =0) Tag with Donovan and Jacob. And water play in the red tub with buckets, brushes for cleaning, and bowls. Abbie and Taylor used the bowls of water to water the wood chips to show me how flowers are made. What little country bun kins with their planting and watering and love for the outdoors. Christian and Eli were hard at work trying to find a new kind of bug. Nothing new yet, but I bet soon. haha.
Yesterday's Comment: Sydni - "Are we making Jack-n-the-box heads? Cuz they look just like him!" hahaha. This comment was made while making the clown heads. Funny too because, they really do look like Jack-n-the-box antenna heads.
Today's Comment: Riley - "I am a writer and I remember things from school to put in my book. You can sit with me if you like and watch. Ok, I'm done for now. Maybe some more will pop up later." This boy is sooooo fun to hang out with. His use of words blows me away everyday I get to hang out with him. And he cracks me up, too!!!! So super fun.
I would like to let all the families know that because of my recent move...I don't have Internet access to blog. So I will try to blog as often as possible until I get Internet, but until then there will be a written log at school that you may find in the Sea Star art file. I will write in it everyday as I do here. When we come back from summer break on the 2nd of September I will then be in the Jellyfish room full time. My Jellyfish families will be able to see this log book hanging next to the Parent board.
I'm sorry I don't have pictures to post, but my camera is missing in action. haha. I'll try to get the pictures I took with my phone posted real soon.
I hope you all have a fantastic night and I will see you all in the morning! Take care.

pictures from thursday and friday!
Here is a picture of Stephan and Dane's "Camping Cabin" that they built together.
Christopher made an X and was so proud that he had built a letter with lincoln logs.
Right after we sang Happy Birthday to Kona I asked her to say cheeeeese for a picture and she took a big bite instead. It was funny. Then she gave me the cute mouthful smile and we all melted. hahahaha. Happy Birthday again Kona and THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH Miko (Kona's mom) for the amazing yogart parfaits.

Lastly...Christian made a new friend, the moth, and right before Miss Shona helped him to a safe place...he found a temporary home on his neck. Soooo, I got a picture of it.

The Camp Out!
Happy Weekend Everyone! Friday was a lot of fun for us Sea Stars! We started out our group time with a hike. We split up in 4 groups and each group took their bag of nature and dumped the contents of the bag in different areas of the classroom. Then we hiked around with our binoculars and experienced what each group found from our nature walk on Monday. It was fun to see the different leaves, twigs, flowers, berries, and beans that they found. After our hike...wheeeeweee...we sat around our tents (that kayt brought in and set up for us. THANKS!) and drank from our canteens that we made on Wednesday. It's always good to rehydrate after a long hike through Coastal. hahaha.
Our carpet activity was quiet reading in the tents. Boy was that hard to keep quiet. It's too exciting to just sit in a tent! They wanted to jump around like it was a bounce house with no bounce!!! (laughing) At table one we did BINGO for chocolate. (that was a winner all around) At table two was our nature table. We collected everything that we had hiked around and put all together with the magnifying glasses to take a closer look. That was interesting to see. And at our crescent table was connectors. They made tents and teepee's.
Outside they played golf. Sydni, Christopher, Donovan, Dane, and I played baseball. Man can they hit a home run. haha. Eli and Christian dug for bugs. They are very into nature and all things that live in it. And last...but not least...we played tag. I think I've been give the official title of "Monster Crackin" from Jacob and Donovan. After Nathan (Donovan's Dad) that is.
Today's Comment: Christian - "Don't hurt my bug. His wings belong to nature and you're not allowed to trap him from the sky!" How cute. Love the boy that loves nature.
I hope you all had a fantastic week and I will see you all on Monday! Take care.

Friday camp out
Hi everyone! Today was a great day The jellyfish and seahorses stuck together for the morning activities. We had a short circle time underneath our big tent that the kids worked on yesterday. The kids also loved playing in the two other tents that Kayt Morris (Elijah's mom) brought in for us to play with. Thank you Kayt!
We also got to look at different things that we would find when we go camping like sticks, different barries, leafs, and etc.
Little Luke loved this center. He was using his binoculars to look at the different things at the table.

Bennett, Stephen, and Colter loved the fishing table they both must have caught over 30fish haha.
Isaiah, Jack, and Elijah enjoyed playing with their cars on the carpet road underneath the big tent.
Emilu, Kona, and Hunter chose to read quietly in the little tents.
This was all this morning i wonder what they will be up to later..
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. Next week is Circus week so be ready for some more Fun.

Camping week is almost at an end!
Hello families! This week has been busy and fun. We have definitely enjoyed having Miss Shona with us this week. Today we started our group time with hand painting and brush painting on our tent sheets outside. Then we came in and the Seahorses and Sea Stars did activity time together. We did Camping Cabins on the carpet, stamp art at table one, magnetic letter boards at the crescent table, and connectors at table two. Everyone was super involved with all the activities at one time or another. It was a fun busy, for sure.
Outside we played dump trucks, tag, and of course...digging for beans! Miss Shona set up some jumps for the dump trucks. The boys really enjoyed that. We are looking forward to our Camp out tomorrow. I hope you've all had as fun a week as us!!!
Today's Comment: Jackson - "Miss Kat, I found a treasure that's really cool. Can I show my mom? Miss Kat, I found another treasure that's pretty. Can I show my mom?" hahaha. Jackson wanted so bad to go visit his mom around the corner that he looked high and lol for anything to call a treasure. But for Krisitin he was the treasure. It was the cutest!!!!
I hope you all had a fantastic day and I will see you all tomorrow! Take care.

hello camper's!
Today was a busy day! We started out with Tumblestars. wooo hooo. It's always nice to see Miss Emily. We also made our cantine's. We painted two paper plates and stapled them together, leaving an open space at the top, and then inserted a water bottle. They'll be using them on Friday. At table two they played with play dough, at the crescent table they played with small Lego's, and on the carpet they built garages with large building blocks and raced cars on the track that Miss Shona made. At nap time Joseph, Jackson, and Jacob helped me get their lanterns and cantines put together and up in the classroom. My little helpers. hahaha.
Outside they jumped dump trucks around the yard and dug for beans. Pretty mellow outside today! lol. Donovan was an excellent helper to me cleaning up the leaf tornado on our patio. He found spiders for Christian and Eli to find. Creepy crawly buggers...eeeek.
Today's Comment: Eli - "This magic bean means I don't have to clean!" (good try) hahaha. Oh Eli...
I hope you all have a fantastic night and I will see you all in the morning! Take care.

Jellyfish!
Hello Jellyfish Families! Today was super yummy fun. We started out our day with Calendar and Weather @ circle time. We also sang songs that each friend chose. Bennett picked Slippery Fish. Jordan picked A,B,C song. Luke and Isaiah picked 5 Monkeys Swinging in a Tree. Stephen said yes to all of them. haha. Our first group activity was making a lantern for our Friday Campout. We used two plastic cups and painted one while glueing yellow "fire" (streamer paper) inside the other. Put them together aaaaaannnnd...you have a bright lantern. Next we made our S'MORES IN A BAG! yaaaaaay. Yummmmmy. They had a lot of fun sneaking in a few marsmellows here and there. Luke was more than excited for the chocolate. ;0) Sneaky little bugger. After we cleaned the table and put our bag away to save for snack...we used our picture blocks on the carpet. As a group we made the sounds of boat pictures, cars, dragonflies, and elephants. Using the same blocks we counted to match the numbers on the sides and we completed the Winnie the Pooh pictures.
Outside we Bennett and I started building a woodchip castle. Isaiah and I played soccer together...wheeeew that boy can run. hahaha. Luke and Isaiah chased the rope around the flag pole taking turns tossing it in the air. Smiles all around when they caught it. Jordan collected chalk in his dump truck and kept sneaking away to color the inside of the play structure. He tricked me a couple times! Stephen pushed around his dump truck collecting nature and chalk. He settled on the sidewalk to color. He seemed very relaxed.
At our afternoon snack we enjoyed our S'mores in a bag after our goldfish and orange juice snack. After a sugar rush like that...we danced it away to Greg and Steve. We ended our dance session with Bear Hunt. I would like to ask the parents to check inside their childs cubby to make sure that there are extra summer clothes just in case...=0) Thanks so much and I had a lot of fun with the Jellyfish today!!!! I can't wait to be with them fulltime this next school year.
I hope you all have a fantastic night and I will see you in the morning! Take care....

pictures!

Christian was very independent with his binocular. =0)

Here is a Sea Lion that just dove under and swam back and forth. I think he was showing off for the children.
Elijah and his Daddy, Marlee, Donovan, Joseph, Taylor, and myself got to touch these beautiful Man rays. They were so playful. A couple were popping up out of the water flirting with people for attention. It was awesome. (shhhh...It shocked Elijah's daddy...! haha.)
I can't remember what kind of shark this is. I should know since this is what I studied in school when I first started out. HAHAHA. But he just kept circling around and around totally not bothered by all the fingers and hands in the water.

Donovan got a little camera shy, but I got the picture. He really got into the finger painting. And he did and great job!

Donovan got a little camera shy, but I got the picture. He really got into the finger painting. And he did and great job!

So did Syndi and Dane! They really put time and effort in.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures!
Today's Comment: Jacob - "You all aren't following directions. Because you aren't using good listening ears and sitting manner like. I'm waiting." I was so proud of Jacob for using his words with his friends and reminding them of using good manners at circle time.
end of monday!
Thanks sooooo very much, Parents, for joining us on Friday @ the aquarium. It was fun. And a special thanks to the drivers. Field trips are always a great end to an already fun week. I got to drive over with Dane, Christopher, and Lisa. On the trip over there were a lot of 18 wheelers. Christopher asked Dane "do you know why trucks drive around?" and Dane shrugged his shoulders and Christopher responded with "because they have more weight than cars!" hahaha. So smart, our little Sea Stars.
When we got back to school the kids went right down for nap. Exhausted is the word. I know I was. I hope you all had a great weekend. And thanks again for all your participation and support. It really was an awesome trip.
Today was the start of our "Camping Week" at Coastal. All week long we'll be making things that you would pack for a camping trip. At the end of the week we'll be setting up a tent and camping out Coastal style! hahaha. Today we made our binoculars. The children finger painted camouflage paper rolls and we'll be tying them together and adding string for the strap around the neck. We also went on a Nature Walk. The Sea Stars were split into 4 groups. Each group walked through all the yards around the school and collected things of nature that you would find on a camping trip. Then we stapled the bags shut and will be sharing our nature finds on Friday. They had a lot of fun venturing through the yards. At table one they did small Lego's and at table two they did small puzzles.
Outside we hung out on the patio and were involved in some painting, chalkboard writing, train crashing, and I helped make paper airplanes and fans. After we finished up and cleaned up we all ran onto the yard for some quick energy draining before lunch. I had a really fun time today. I hope you all had a good day, too!
Have a fantastic night and I will see you all in the morning! Take care.

holy heat BatStars!
Hi families. Today was a HOT one. Good thing in was WATER PLAY DAY! woo hoo. Miss Krystal was in charge of the water slide while the rest of us ran around getting wet or playing tag. Donovan and I played a little BBall. They had such a fun time getting wet and going down the slide and pretending to be under water. I love to watch the Jellyfish do water play too. They get so excited to be out with the big kids. After that we all got changed and cleaned up and sat down for lunch.
It was a very fun and super simple day! I hope you all have a fantastic night and I will see you tomorrow for the LONG BEACH AQUARIUM! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!
Today's Comment: Marlee - "Well if you act older than maybe you can be a teacher like Miss Kat! But you have to use manners." hahahaha. This conversation went down in the bathroom or the "thinking room."
Take care and please keep Miss Krystal on your mind and in your hearts. Thanks!

REMINDER!!!!
Thank You parents for coming through!!!!! The children are really excited and is looking forward going to the AQUARIUM FIELD TRIP!(they've been talking about it and counting down the days)The Plan: I would like to leave no later than 8:30am., our appointment time is at 9, so please be here by 8:15am. We will meet for lunch at 10:50am.(we will have to pick a spot) and then leave by 11:30am to make it back at the school by noon. For the families that will meet us there / if you are not a volunteer driver, you are more than welcome to stay for as long as you want. I believe they close at 6pm. You could make it a day if you'd like, there are several places and restaurants to check out. =) PLEASE REMEMBER.....your CHILD must wear their COASTAL SHIRT and NO LUNCH BOX! All lunches need to be in a BROWN BAG so that it will be easier to dispose of when we are done. THANK YOU!!! On another note, I have some sad news.....Ms. Krystal had a death in the family. Her grandmother's sister that helped take care of her when she was little and is very close to, passed on Sunday. All arrangements were made for Thursday night and Friday, so Ms. Krystal won't be able to attend our Field trip but we will be thinking of her.

two days in one blog!
Hi Families. Me and my kid fell asleep last night and didn't get a chance to blog. So I would like to catch up, two days in one blog. haha. I'll try to make it short and sweet. =0)
Yesterday was really mellow. The Sea Stars have been practicing using whisper voices inside the classroom to learn control over their voices. We are working on using small inside voices and BIG outside voices. So far it's been pretty funny to watch them try and use whisper voices. haha. Let me tell you, it's pretty hard. I've been doing it with them and even I slip from time to time. In the past two days we have finished up our Starfish (which you can find on the wall now), made Octopus' with 1/2 a paper plate, streamers, Cheerios, and Google eyes. We also have been doing a lot of play dough play, race car's on the carpet, and word building with magnetic letters and boards. The Sea Stars are doing AMAZINGLY with their language and spelling. They are beyond ready for the big K!
Outside they have had some wet activities. In the blue tub is fish and nets. In the red tub is making waves. And the always fun...DIGGING FOR BUUUUUUUGS! It really never gets old to search for bugs in nature...especially ones that are slimy or super small. haha. Christian found a ladybug for Stephan and they set her free into the wild. lol. Those boys are funny.
Thanks so much for checking in with the blogs. It's been so awesome to get such positive feedback from all of you. It's neat to have more than one way to communicate since we don't all see each other or have a moment to chat.
Today's Comment: Taylor and Elijah - (T) "I can put my own shoes and socks on since I'm older now." (E) "Well, I have Miss Kat to put my shoes on!" LOL!!!! That's gonna make me smile for weeks. hahaha.
Well, I am sooo so happy that we got enough parent volunteers for the field trip. It's going to be a lot of fun and I can't wait. (It's one of my favorite places to go) I hope that you all have a fantastic night and I will see you in the morning.
Thanks,
Miss Kat

Tuesday
Hello everyone i just wanted to post some pictures of my little jellyfish playing with their sensory activity this morning. They were "fishing" for treasures in the water, which was hair gel, and counting how many treasures they found.

The kids also worked really hard this afternoon panting and putting together an octopus which are now up and hanging in the window. The cool thing is that they all know which one is theirs and can point to it so go check them out. Good night!

Coastal CLC is like Family to me!
Working here at Coastal CLC has been an amazing experience. I love working here and being a teacher's aide. I hop from class to class helping out the great teachers we have. I love spending time with each kid and getting to know them individually and watching him/her grow as a person. I remembered when Ms. Katrina asked me during my interview if I would commit to a year at Coastal CLC and I have done my part and am willing to commit another year. I just can't get enough of Coastal. My husband knows how much Coastal means to me. Everyone here at Coastal is like family to me and this is what was told to me during my interview from Ms. Katrina. That at Coastal you get that family environment and how families here are very close. Whether it be a birthday party, how their child's school day was, or even parents having ordeals with their children and asking how to handle it, parent's are always there for each other and their children. Coastal is not just an ordinary school but one you could call your family. One you could turn to when you are having a bad day. When I am having a bad day, my colleagues, the parents, and the kids turn my day upside down with a smile. The students know how to make me smile with the darnest things that they say and with their wild imaginations. I would love to post much more to say right now but I must finish up my lunch break and pick up our $1 tacos for the staff's lunch.

wooooo hoooooo MONDAY!
Hola! Hope you all had a fun weekend. Parker Lynn and I had fun in the sun. And we got hang out with Christopher and his two friends from San Diego. We cooked. We played. We read stories. They slept. hahaha.
This week is "Under the Sea" week and the kids are super stoked for it because we get to visit the Long Beach Aquarium on Friday. Today we made Starfish. Miss Krystal cut out the pattern and then they painted them all different kinds of crazy colors. Sydni, Dane, Taylor and I experimented with mixing colors to make new ones. We made lime green! At table one was small Lego's where friends built houses and compared who's was bigger. At table two was number matching. After every board that Stephan finished he was shout out "I WON. YESSSS." It was cute. And on the carpet was magnetic letter boards. Each child was asked to try to spell out their names and any words that they knew. After that they threw lots of letters all over the board and then brought it over to me to ask if they had spelled anything. Christian spelled "me" and Eli spelled "do."
Outside they did underwater racing. Basically they raced their dump trucks under water i was spraying and then I had to join in. Christian brought in a bug to share. Then he and Eli and Donovan dug for more. A bug that flew (I don't know what kind) around the yard, caught the attention of Christian, Donovan, Stephan, and Marlee and quickly there after was being chased to be caught with a bowl and shovel. It was very amusing to watch. And distracting at clean up time! HAHAHAHAHA.
Tomorrow is going to be fun. We are fishing in blue gel. Sensory is always a fun way to learn. We are also making OCTOPUS' with half a paper plate, streamers for the tentacles with Cheerios for suckers. Jacob will love this. haha. OCTOPUS' are his thing. I am looking forward to tomorrow.
Today's Comment: Hunter - "Miss Kat. I asked Dane for the dump truck with my manners. I did it! He said yes. Are you happy?" Super Duper Adorable.
Hope you all have a fantastic night and I will see you in the morning! Take care.
Miss Kat
Seahorse Class Blog "Under the Sea Week"
Happy Monday Seahorse Families!
It was a great day to start off our "Under the Sea" theme for this week at summer camp! Our class started the day outside with water water table fun. We also had a GIANT bubbles station! Our art project today was painting sea stars to go with the "Under the Sea" theme.
Our class has really taken to the bubbles and today the children had a chance to sharpen their hand/eye coordination and blow some gigantic bubbles of their own. That hand/eye coordination practice will come in handy for September when they begin learning how to write their names!
Elijah and Hunter have become bubble masters since last weeks bubble fun. Last week the two boys developed the skills to 'share bubbles' with each other. One will blow a bubble, another child will catch the bubble on the little bubble wand and then transfer it over to the other child's wand. It was awesome to hear them using their words and saying things like, "Here Hunter you can have my bubble!"
Today Mikel joined the boys and this time the bubble wands were HUGE so it was a fun challenge to see them trying to coordinate the bubble sharing! Elijah should be proud of himself for using kind words because he kept encouraging his pals by saying,"That's a good one! Oh wow that's a good one too! Look at it!" We even had our Jellyfish friends join us for fun with bubbles today too!
Emilu and Kona were exceptional special helpers today! At snack time Emilu remembered to get our napkins for our table. Kona kindly offered Mikel some assistance with a tissue for his runny nose at naptime. Benson remembered to put his lunch box away after he threw away his trash. They demonstrated how great they are at being helpful in our school family!

Bye Ya'll!
Here are some pictures that Miss Eileen took @ lunch.
HaHa Ha. Kona loooooved her ribs!
Western week has come to an end. Boy oh boy did it wipe me out. haha. It was so much fun to gallop through the week with the kids. Yesterday we had our BBQ and it was yuuuuuuummmy. They had cream corn, baked beans, watermelon, and RIBS. (I had some too.) We had our lunch picnic style on the driveway. They LOVE it.
Our Group Time today was Friday Share Day and making corn bread for snack. They each got to pour some corn meal and water and they each got to stir the mix. Then as a group we poured it into the pan. Miss Eileen baked it and they ate with Stephan's Birthday cookies. mmmm mmm mmmmmm. Super good.
All in all...it was a super fun week. The kids had a blast with all the activities Miss Eileen put together. Buuuut...we are totally looking forward to next week. Miss Krystal is doing an ocean week and we get to go to the AQUARIUM! All the kids have been talking about it all week.
Today's Comment: Donovan - "Corn meal looks like banana pudding, but it smells like paste! (hahaha. insert icky scrunchy face)
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I will see you next week!

The end of Western week
Hello everyone. This week was filled with fun activities that the children had so much fun working on.
On Monday we made a cactus and practice cutting it out with scissors. We also made snakes and marble painted cows, which are in the art file ready to go home. The kids also got to play with snakes, colored spaghetti, out side in the water tables. Stephen and Jordan were really into this activity.
Today at circle time I asked the jellyfish today what do Cow Boys like to eat? Luke said “Moo!’ Bennett then responded with “Melons”, Jordan stated “Milk” and Colter responded back to Jordan with “no Juice!”
After circle time we put our bandanas on and danced with them at the hoe down this afternoon. We then had a picnic outside with all our friends and got to try ribs, corn, beans and watermelon. Yummy!
Next week is Under the Sea week and don’t forget about the field trip on Friday to the Long Beach Aquarium. You must turn slips and money in by Tuesday so don’t forget. I’m also asking parents to bring in a clean un-matched sock for the kids to make fish out of. We are going to color them and stuff them with beans for a special game we are going to use them for on Thursday.
I hope everyone has a great weekend See you on Monday

cowboy wardrobe!
Coastal Families! Hi. Today was wild. We hand painted bandanna's for our cook-off tomorrow. It was messy and fun, as it should be. ;0) hahaha. Lot's of blue used. It seemed to be the color of the day. This week has been HUGE for race cars on the carpet. I make tracks and street with tape and they have a blast. At table 2 was BINGO! That's always a winner because they play for suckers. At the crescent table was small Lego's. Donovan made an awesome building. He was very proud of it that he saved it in the box for later. We also finished out our month with the big 31. We chatted about moving into a new month and Eli shouted out "It's August. It's August because my birthday party is in August!" It was very cute.
Outside there was a little bowling going on. oh yeeeeeahhhhh! you can never go wrong with bowling. I wore tennis shoes just so i could "run fast" with Donovan, Stephan, Jacob, and Dane (and friends). I just want you all to know that that's my first pair of shoes in 12 years. I even trucked it through Colorado winter in flip-flops. hahaha. So it was big that i wore them.
Tomorrow is Stephan's big number 5 birthday. yaaaaaaaaay! How fast they grow and get older. Except for Parker Lynn, that is. hahhaa. (I wish) Don't forget that tomorrow is the cook-off, or BBQ. mmmmm mmm mmmmmmm. I'm looking forward to it.
Today's Comment: Christian - "I don't eat pretzels." Eli - "What? Why don't you eat pretzels? They make you big and strong and your muscles big." HA. HA. HA. HA. There was more to that conversation between them at snack and it was super duper funny. Man...I wish i would've remembered to write it down.
Well, hope you all had a fantastic night! I will see you in the morning.
Thanks,
Miss Kat
