The first day of school, is usually scary for most children but yesterday was filled with giggles and laughs from the children. Most of the children were returning students and we had one knew child named Dylan in the jellyfish room. He had a great day at school and was very curious. I was quite suprised that he was not crying on his first day of school like most children do. He had fun doing Dot Art Stamping with the other children. The children played with playdough, dot art, dinosaurs, legos, and blocks. It was a day filled with fun. The Jellyfish class had their footprints taken during the afternoon and are up for display and for auction. *Giggling* Just kidding they are not up for auction.
Isaiah came back from his mini vacation in New York and came back talking so much more. Colter had a blast doing dot art and having his footprints taken, he has been all about making a picture of Thomas the Train. Jordan wanted to make a picture of Percy. We also welcomed back two of our Seastar graduates who came back for our after school program and was a blast to have. They appeared so much older and mature since they've been gone. They were great helpers during snack time since they had no homework to do but they shared their first day of kindergarden with us and was excited to go back to their new school. I will post more later but for now I must go back to work. =)
