Hello everyone...it's Miss Kat! That's right, I am the new Jellyfish teacher. hahaha. I am very excited for this year. So far we've worked on Apples and Johnny Appleseed. So much fun. On Monday we made our very own apple trees with pom poms, red paint, green tree cut outs and a tree trunk. Be sure to look around the walls for your child's tree! On the carpet we used connectors to create patterns. They did a good job catching on and creating.
Today we made our very own apples for our falling apple wall. I gave each child a pre-cut apple and they painted them red with their hands. So much fun. In the afternoon, before we went outside, we glued small letter a's to BIG letter A's for our letter wall. They'll be put up by the end of the week. On the carpet we created a race track scene so the boys could crash and burn. haha.
On the yard, some of the boys played with dump trucks while the others blew bubbles. Little miss Ella was the queen of the yard!! =0) All in all...it's been an AWESOME start to our week and the new school year. I put out a parent comment book and it is located on top of the puzzle shelf next to the cubbies. Please feel free to leave comments or suggestions, concerns or questions, and I will be sure to catch up with you. Thanks!
Today's Comment: Bennette "Miss Kat! I tried to help Jordan open his fish but I couldn't. Your turn! I know you can do it!" hahaha. Such a helper and GREAT with his communication and words. I am so proud of him.
I hope you all had a fantastic day and I will see you all tomorrow! Take care and have a great night.
Miss Kat
