Happy Weekend Families!

Hello Jellyfish Families! And now Goldfish Families. I missed out on the beginning of the week, but I know Miss Annie rocked it in the classroom. This week was all about our 5 senses. Some activities targeting those senses were making paper plate faces. Each child was asked to glue ears next to their eyes, a nose and a tongue. Later they got to paint the faces. We also used our sense of touch and taste with natural sugar, flour, chocolate cookies, guava, sour apple, graham cracker, and wood chips. Of course, they were not asked to taste the wood chips or the flour. haha. All in all, it was a good week.

Next week we will be talking about "Harvesting" to prepare for "Thanksgiving". It's an exciting week because we will be going on our field trip to the Farmer's Market. Last year was fun and the soup turned our very, very tasty. And there are so many other yummy things to buy at the Farmer's Market. Last year I bought fresh salsa and hummus. mmmm. Each child will be asked to choose a veggie to add to the soup. Parents! Please start chatting with you child about what veggies they like and try to make a list so we can be sure to pick them up. I will be the doing the same with them in class.

I hope you all had a fantastic week and a relaxing weekend. I will see you all on Monday! Take care...
Miss Kat
