Hello Families hope your week is going well. This week the seastars have been working on the letter V and talking about planting. We will be planting tomatoes that Abbie brought in for her class and if you'd like to bring in a pack of seeds or soil that would be great for our little garden. For our share day theme I will be asking the kids to bring in a picture or a magazine cut out of something that grows from the ground such as trees or flowers. We would like to say THANK YOU to Jordan Niizawa's Family(Joe & Warisa) for donating the Plant boxes. Each class will have their own box to plant in. The chidren will start planting this week. If you would like to bring in some seeds and soil, please let your child's teacher know. Thank You.

All permissions slips & money $19.00 CASH ONLY are due on FRIDAY, MAY 1.
"Color Me Mine" cannot accomodate the entire school all at once therefore, we have designated a particular day for each class: Tuesday, May 5 (Goldfish & Jellyfish), Wednesday, May 6 (Seahorse) & Thursday, May 7 (Seastars). If you have any questions, see me at the office or call @ (949)722-1005.
All children need to wear their COASTAL Shirt. If your child does not have a Coastal shirt, you may purchase one at the office for $10.

Please save the date for a Mommy & Me Field Trip at COLOR ME MINE in Costa Mesa to celebrate MOTHER'S DAY! Since "Color Me Mine" cannot accomodate the entire school all at once, we have assigned different dates for each class.

Tuesday, May 5 Goldfish & Jellyfish
Wednesday, May 6 Seahorse
Thursday, May 7 Seastars

Time: 9am - 10:30am. We will leave at exactly 8:45 am.
Lunch: Regular lunch back at the school.
Cost: $19 per child. CASH ONLY! This covers a $14 piece and a discounted painting fee of $5.00.

Permission slips will be out today and will be due back no later than FRIDAY, May 1. We need a prompt response since we need to confirm the number of children that are attending. Thank You.

TUESDAY, April 28 and read her book, BABY LAUREN and THEODORE at 9:30 & 10:00 am.
This book helps instill a love for nature and encourages compassion for others and the environment.

spring!!!!

woooo hoooo! We talked about spring time and what happens to plants and trees. We also talked about what "budding" means. Some thought it was a friend. haha. so cute! Anyways, we made budding cherry blossom trees, hand print flowers, a chart of how to make a daisy, and sang songs about flying kites in the spring! =0) It was an awesome last week with the Jellyfish. I am sad it was so short, but yaaaaaay vacation time. I wish you all the best and big hugs to all the Jellyfish's and the Coastal families. I will miss you very much. Take care...

Springtime Celebration:
WEDNESDAY, April 8. It will be a fun day for the all kids. There will be an egg hunt, some relay races & a coloring contest. LUNCH will be provided. You are welcome to bring special snack if you would like.
